There four kinds;
the Alpaca, (has been bred from the Vucuna), AND
the Llama, (has been bred from the Guanaco).
1.) Llamas are beautiful, stately easy to care for and handle.
2.) Llamas generally do NOT spit at people.
3.) Traditionally, males are used for packing, whilst the females stay home and have more little llamas.
4.) For 6000 years, or so, llamas have provided the transport muscle in the Andes.
5.) Llamas are extrmely easy to train, they're really, really smart.
6.) Llamas don't bite, kick, butt, nor do they, cuddle, kiss or be loyal friends.

7.) Llamas like sharing toilet facilities with other llamas, usually at home.
8.) Llamas can command very high prices, in September 2002, a female sold for $31,000.00 (USD). That is unusal, $15,000.00 IS common for a prize animal.
